Syphilis is one of the most common sexually transmitted disease that affects
men and women worldwide and usually starts with a painless sore found on the
male or female genitalia. If untreated, it can lead to more serious
complications like neurosyphilis or may be passed on to the offspring causing
congenital syphilis.
Symptoms of Syphiliophobia:
Symptoms of this fear include a total
abstinence of an emotional and physical attachment to a partner even though
they have feelings for one another. Other symptoms include nausea, shortness of
breath, panic, tremors, weeping, increased heart rate and sweating.
